Shows on Netflix I'd recommend

So as we all do, I enjoy watching stuff on Streaming platforms whether that be Amazon Prime or the subject of this post, Netflix. Now I think it's no secret that Netflix has a wide variety of content on offer for people to watch and I actually discovered a few of my favourite films and TV Shows through the platform, and while I could go on and on about my favourite movies, I'll stick to shows for this post and talk about movies another time.

SEX EDUCATION

Starting off with a Netflix original is a show about the students of Moordale Secondary School, the show mainly focuses on awkward teen Otis, the son of relationship and sex therapist Jean. Now Otis is somewhat embarrassed of his mother and doesn't talk about his home life when at school and confides mainly in his best friend Eric, eventually following some time spent with bully Adam and his mother's job exposed to the kids, Otis starts up a sex clinic with Maeve Wiley who is known as the "mean girl" of Moordale.

This show is genuinely so much fun to watch and the writing makes me feel so invested in the stories of these characters which is an important thing for a show like this. Asa Butterfield who plays Otis does a great job at portraying the awkward teen, but my favourite actor in this show is without a doubt Ncuti Gatwa who plays Otis' best friend Eric, Gatwa puts in a fantastic performance in every scene he's in and it's also the main reason why I'm excited to see him in action as the next Doctor because he's a phenomenal actor in every scene he's in.

PARKS AND RECREATION

Created by former "The Office" producers Michael Schur and Greg Daniels, this show follows the employees of the Parks and Rec department of the Pawnee Government, the show features some very diverse characters from the lovable, childlike Andy Dwyer played by Chris Pratt to the Whiskey drinking, Steak consuming moustached America loving Ron Swanson.

The main reason I love this show is because it features so many diverse actors and characters which is important for a TV Show as well, the 2 standouts in this series for me are Chris Pratt and Nick Offerman who play Andy Dwyer and Ron Swanson respectively.

THE OFFICE

One of the first shows I watched fully, The Office follows the fictional paper company Dunder Mifflin and its employees as they deal with the day to day operations of corporate business, the show in my opinion is great but it does have its flaws, some later seasons aren't great and I'm sure a lot of people will agree when I say that earlier seasons are better which is very similar to my opinion on Friends, sure that show has great episodes but I feel that the first 5 seasons as opposed to the other half of the show are much stronger overall

BROOKLYN NINE NINE

In my own personal opinion, Brooklyn Nine Nine is without a doubt one of the greatest shows EVER MADE. Not only is the premise of the show perfect, but it is perfectly cast as well as having some fantastic writing throughout, as of right now I have only watched the first 7 seasons of the show because at the time I'm writing this Season 8 is yet to be put on Netflix but other than that this show is easily one of the best pieces of TV I've watched. Also since the show ended, Terry Crews who played Sergeant and later Lieutenant Terry Jeffords has said he's love to do a Brooklyn Nine Nine movie with the cast and I love that idea because that has so much potential
